
SACRED VALLEY TOUR ( Full day tour )
PISAQ- To 33 km on the northeast of Cusco by a paved road, and has an old
quarter, an archaeological site considered one of the most inportant in Cusco
with different group of buildings like Qantus Raqay, Qallaqasa, Intiwatana,
Pisaqa, its bigest cemetery unique in its style and many terraces and a modern
quarter, dating from the colonial period. It also very interesting the village
for its famous Sunday Indian Market which attracts thousands of visitors and
people from remote communities, dressed in colorful, traditional attire. Every
Sunday there is the procession of the varayocs, or mayors, who at the time of
the Mass go to the church to attend the traditional Mass held in Quechua, and
after visiting the site and see the handicraft and Indian market of Pisaq in the
morning, and lunching in a typical restaurant in the Sacred Valley, in the

OLLANTAYTAMBO- To 89 km to the north west side of
Cusco one of the most interesting aspects of the village of Ollantaytambo is its
street plan: it is the only town in Peru that survives pretty much as it was
laid out hundreds of years ago by the Incas. At 2800 masl, named in honor of the
chief Ollanta, who was famous for courting an Inca princess, daughter of
Pachacutec. Ollantaytambo has divided all their buildings like in kanchas or
enclousures in the square shapes where now are living the descendants of the
Incas, and the other part is about the Temple and Fortress where we can see the
terraces and over to the terraces all that big block of the stones with its red
color was used to built the temple as the most important is that six big blocks
as the part of the temple with some carvings, and all this stones was carried
from the stone quarry of cachiqhata from the other side of the Urubamaba Valley.
